COLUMBUS, August 07, 2009

With competitions, entertainment, art exhibits, great food and much more, the Ohio State Fair offers a wide variety of exciting options for fairgoers. Tomorrow’s events include:



FORD Day



David Cook with special guest Green River Ordinance

AEP Ohio Concert Series

WCOL Celeste Center, 7 p.m.

As the 2008 American Idol winner, David Cook is sure to be a crowd favorite with his breakout hits, including “Time of My Life” and “Permanent.” Special guest Green River Ordinance will perform songs from their new album, “Out of My Hands.”



Cheerleading Competitions

Buckeye Sports Center, 10 a.m.

Cheerleaders from all over Ohio perform routines of cheers, gymnastics and dance to compete for great prizes.



Milking Parlor

Gilligan Complex, 8 a.m. – 10 p.m.

Elsie the Cow makes an appearance long awaited by many.



Ohio Roller Girls

ShowPlace Pavilion, 1 p.m. – 9 p.m.

Check out Columbus’ Womens’ Flat Track Roller Derby League.



Kique Infante & Dejavu Latin Fusion

Main Street Stage presented by WBWR, 5 p.m., 7:30 p.m.

Columbus, Ohio’s own Kique Infante has built a seven-part band that beautifully blends Latin American rhythms such as salsa, festejo and joropo with others like pop, rock and funk.



Columbus Crafty Cotillion Handmade Expo

NBC4 Family Fun Stage, noon – 6 p.m.

This display features more than 30 Ohio-based independent craft vendors selling a large, colorful variety of fantastic and unique handmade items.



Ohio Lottery

North of 17th Ave., 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.

Stop by Ohio Lottery’s location where you can “spin and win” for great prizes and leave your mark on the Monster Mural celebrating Ohio Lottery’s 35 years of supporting Ohio Education.



Gates are open from 9 a.m. – 10 p.m.

The Ohio Expo Center is proud to host the Ohio State Fair. With a spectacular midway, big-name entertainment, hundreds of exhibits and one of the largest junior fair shows in the nation, the 2009 Ohio State Fair will run July 29 – Aug. 9.
