FEATURED ACTIVITES ON AUGUST 9 AT THE OHIO STATE FAIR Aug.. 9 highlights

COLUMBUS— With competitions, entertainment, art exhibits, great food and much more, the Ohio State Fair offers a wide variety of exciting options for fairgoers. The final day's events include:
Coca-Cola Final Fair Day
Bring your specially marked neck hanger or any Coca-Cola product to a booth outside entrance gates for a $3 admission coupon for each member in your party before 3 p.m.
Sale of Champions Livestock Auction
The Ohio Farm Bureau proudly supports the junior fair livestock shows
WCOL Celeste Center, 2 p.m.
Celebrate with the champions of the junior fair livestock shows as they sell their prize-winning animals to the highest bidders at the 2009 Sale of Champions.
Rascal Flatts with special guests Dierks Bentley & Darius Rucker
AEP Ohio Concert Series
Crew Stadium, 7:30 p.m.
With four chart-topping albums, Rascal Flatts has had numerous chart-topping hits. Dierks Bentley wowed country listeners with his new hit “Sideways,” while Darius Rucker’s song “It Won’t Be Like This For Long” warmed the hearts of country music lovers everywhere. You don’t want to miss this dynamic line-up.
Austin Hicks and the Rattlesnake River Band
Main Street Stage presented by WBWR, 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
This fresh band has a true passion for country music, showing clearly when they perform their particular blend of country, rock and Christian.
Morton’s System Saver II Tour
South of Central Park, 9 a.m. – 10 p.m.
The Morton’s System Saver II Tour has games, product displays and enough prizes to make sure no one walks away empty handed. While at the booth, don’t forget to sign up for a chance to win a premium water softener system, courtesy of Morton’s.
ZIV
Main Street Stage Presented by WBWR, 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Exceptional modern rock band ZIV brings their distinctive music to the Ohio State Fair, which has been featured on numerous national TV channels such as MTV and FOX.
Gates are open from 9 a.m. – 8 p.m.
